Clinical Hypnotherapy and Hypnotherapy

What are Hypnotherapy and Clinical Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a modern therapeutic approach that uses a natural state of deep relaxation and focused attention, allowing safe access to the subconscious mind.

Clinical Hypnotherapy is a specialised application of hypnotherapy and, where appropriate, is used as part of a comprehensive therapeutic approach, always guided by your individual needs and wellbeing.

Its purpose is not simply relaxation, but the understanding and processing of deeper emotional experiences, limiting beliefs, and automatic patterns that may continue to influence your life outside conscious awareness.

My approach integrates modern methods of Hypnotherapy and Clinical Hypnotherapy, together with elements of Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT), whenever appropriate for your individual goals and needs.

Why choose Hypnotherapy?

While Transformational Coaching and Solution-Based Therapy work primarily through conscious exploration and therapeutic processing, Hypnotherapy allows us, where appropriate, to work at a deeper level with the subconscious mind.

It can help identify and process limiting beliefs, emotional responses, and recurring patterns that have developed through significant life experiences.

When therapeutically appropriate, early life experiences, childhood experiences, or other significant events may also be explored to understand how they continue to influence the way you think, feel, relate to others, and make decisions today.

The purpose is not to remain focused on the past, but to understand how it continues to shape the present and to create the conditions for meaningful and lasting change.

When can it help?

Hypnotherapy may be particularly helpful when:

the same patterns keep repeating in your life or relationships,

limiting beliefs are preventing your personal growth,

strong emotional reactions arise without an obvious reason,

a difficulty persists despite conscious efforts to change,

you wish to work at a deeper level with yourself.

The therapeutic process

Every session is tailored to your individual needs, goals, and pace.

The hypnotic state is a natural state of focused attention in which you remain aware of your surroundings and maintain control throughout the process.

The therapeutic work is carried out with respect for your personal boundaries, aiming not only for insight but also for lasting change in the way you think, feel, and respond.

Is it safe?

Hypnotherapy is not sleep and it is not a loss of control.

Throughout the process, you remain aware, can communicate at any time, and may stop the session whenever you choose.

The approach is used only when it is appropriate for your individual circumstances and always with your safety, wellbeing, and therapeutic goals in mind.

Working alongside other healthcare professionals

If you are already receiving support from a psychiatrist or another mental health professional, Clinical Hypnotherapy may, where appropriate, complement your existing treatment and be provided in collaboration with your healthcare team, always with your safety and best interests in mind.

The goal

The goal of Hypnotherapy and Clinical Hypnotherapy is not simply symptom relief.

It is to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, process experiences and beliefs that continue to influence your life, and develop healthier ways of thinking, feeling, and responding.

Lasting change becomes more deeply established when new beliefs and healthier patterns are integrated not only into the conscious mind, but also into the subconscious mind.
